SlowMoFX 1.03

SlowMoFX is an AUv3 plugin designed for seamlessly mixing incoming audio with a slowed-down version perfectly synchronized with the current tempo. This feature enables users to achieve the popular half-speed effect commonly utilized by renowned DJs worldwide.

One notable capability of SlowMoFX is the ability to entirely drop out the original audio, resulting in dark downtempo atmospheric renditions of songs which can gradually transition back to the original mix. This functionality is particularly effective for enhancing drums and percussive rhythms, while lead instruments with sharp attacks can yield distinctive trap melodies and powerful bass tones when slowed down.

Activating the effect is as easy as pressing the POWER button, initiating a smooth blend of the original audio with a slowed-down, halftime version. Users can opt for the 4x option to slow down to quadruple time for a deeper, darker mood, or select the 1.5x setting to generate triplets and syncopated beats.

The plugin offers low and high pass filters to control the degree of effect applied to the input, while the mix knob regulates the intensity of the effect. Additional features such as the Glide button provide a gradual transition from the unaffected pitch to the target pitch, ideal for creating slow-down and speed-up effects. The ping pong mode allows for alternating between forward and reverse playback, while the reverse mode produces long, soothing syncopated textures.

Incorporating a variety of built-in effects like delay and reverb, along with EQ, drive, phaser, pan, and pitch effects, SlowMoFX allows users to experiment and enhance their sound. For users running it under a DAW like AUM that supports multiple output busses, it is possible to route the affected signal through preferred external effects for additional sonic manipulation.
